Amy Gessert

Amy Gessert has 18+ years of experience working with people with disabilities. She most recently served as Executive Director for the Greater Maryville Chamber of Commerce. Previously, Amy worked in various capacities at Missouri Protection and Advocacy Services and at a hydroponic greenhouse that offered work experience to people with disabilities. Amy created an employment program, NCS Works, and a community life engagement program, Building Independence, in her role as Assistant Executive Director at Nodaway County Services. At the ICI, Amy works with organizations to transform from providing subminimum wage work to robust individualized competitive integrated employment and community life engagement-focused supports.
