Enforcement

• Your services may be suspended or terminated with or without notice upon any violation of this policy. Any violations may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your account.

ICI Online Learning Privacy Policy - FAQ

The Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI) at the University of Massachusetts Boston does not sell or share your personal information without your permission.

Do you track my performance and activities online? Yes. We may collect information about your actions and activities within a course for two reasons:

1. to award you a certificate when you complete a course
2. to improve our courses or programs

Will you contact me for marketing purposes?

Yes. We may use your email to share updates on upcoming courses, program enhancements, and educational resources that match your interests and learning goals. If you no longer wish to receive these updates, you can easily manage your preferences by following the instructions we share with you in our emails.

How else will you use my email?

Course instructors, facilitators, or support staff will use your email to contact you about course related activities, such as assignments and course completion deadlines and to answer any technical questions about the course.

Do you inform my supervisor of my course/program results?

No. We do not report to your supervisor or workplace about the course or program you enroll in without your permission.

Do you report my performance to other entities?

Yes, but only when you engage in courses or programs that offer ACRE certification. If you complete a course or program that offers ACRE certification, we report your name to ACRE.

Do you sell my information?

No.

Do you access any financial information related to me as part of a transaction if I purchase a course?

No. That is between you and the financial institution that handles the commercial transaction.
